TED Told Me About Pivot Which Told Me About Kiva

TED.com caught my eye with Gary Flake's Pivot presentation. I downloaded it and used it to search Kiva.org, which I have mentioned at 550Plus50.

I searched Bolivian borrowers and found that there were a lot of groups, some men and only ONE woman, Mariette Roman.

What does this say about women in Bolivia? Is this mere coincidence that of Kiva borrowers based in Bolivia, 54 are groups, 9 are men and 1 is a woman?

What else will we learn using Pivot in the future?

On a related microlending note, one of MY borrowers, Malia Falaniko, has already payed me back 40% of what she borrowed in the fall of 2009!
